Beaches and picturesqueness

Arriving on the island, you will see in the port several beautiful houses of another era, some of which have been renovated and stand in very good condition. Next to the main road is a square with carriages, a nice way to see the city. If, however, you choose to walk, it would be good to get into the small, narrow streets of the city of Aegina - it is really worth the experience. The island has two organized beaches but the real magic is the unorganized, ideal for exploring by boat.

Temple of Afea

Certainly, the most important attraction on the island is one of the most important temples in ancient Greece, the Temple of Aphaia. Its unique location at the top of the mountain offers a unique view of the Saronic Gulf, something you should not miss !. If the weather is good and the atmosphere is clear, one can see Sounio, Kea, Athens and Piraeus, as well as part of the Peloponnese.
